Mr. James Wong is a consultant of Tung, Ng, Tse & Lam, Solicitors.  James has almost 30 years of experience in legal practice and business administration.  In addition to serving some established law firms in Hong Kong at partner’s level, he has been the deputy managing director of a company listed on the main board of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong.  James has also been a managing director of a China-based multi-national corporation, responsible for its Hong Kong operation and investments in Europe.  James specializes in such areas as cross-border mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, private equity, banking finance, asset restructuring, family trust, and succession of family business and family wealth.  

James has advised multi-national corporations and international investment funds (from such countries / districts as Finland, Singapore, Sweden, Israel, Canada, Taiwan and Malaysia) in their investment projects in the Greater China Region, covering such industrial sectors as aluminum manufacturing, power plants, property development, hotel management, toll-roads, luxury products, food-processing, and banking and financial services.  In addition to acting multi-national corporations in their investments in China, James has also advised Chinese enterprises (State-owned and private-owned) in their overseas M&A projects and IPO projects.

James has been invited by various government bodies and business organizations to speak at seminars, including the State-owned Assets Supervision & Administration Commission of the State Council, China General Chamber of Commerce, Chinese Banks’ Association, Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association, and Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited.
